Please be prepared 10 minutes in advance of the appointment. Try to have quiet and privacy, as we want to be able to ask personal questions and for you to have the space to respond openly. Good lighting is important also. IMPORTANT: avoid eating or drinking anything that can cause discoloration on your tongue.
Herbal formulas may be administered in raw form to decoct, powdered concentrates, liquid concentrates, as well as pills and capsules. Herbs and supplements can be shipped or picked up at the door of our 15th Street location or shipped to you.

Melody’s education focused on Chinese and Japanese acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She also received a license in massage therapy from China. The range of modalities in East Asian Medicine allows her to diagnose and treat a wide range of people by combining all these modalities. She loves working with elderly patients, all kinds of pain, and internal medicine. When treating patients, she focuses on the root imbalances and how emotional stress impacts health. Melody also specializes in scalp acupuncture techniques, widely used for stroke recovery and neurological conditions. Her certificate in Chinese herbal diet therapy rounds out her practice. She believes combining acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine is nearly magical in its power to balance the human body.

Paul Cybularz, L.OM., is a bright and compassionate practitioner of Oriental Medicine. It is his belief that a healthy body fosters a healthy mind and that society can only be as vibrant as it’s individual members. Through improving his patient ‘s health he hopes to contribute to kinder, more compassionate, more vibrant world. His treatment methodology integrates modern biomedical research insights along with the time-tested methods of traditional Chinese medicine. Both serve as pillars which guide him in providing well-rounded care suited to the litany of health challenges many of us face today. Paul graduated from Drexel with a B.S. in Nutrition and Food Science and earned his M.S. in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from East West College of Natural Medicine. He has had the fortune to study under/with the late Dr. Richard Tan, Dr. Huang Huang, Dr. Flaws, and more. Paul believes that collaborative care yields more permanent results.
